2020

Business of the Year

In November of 2020, James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn was named Business of the Year by the Woburn Chamber of Commerce, for responding to the COVID-19 public health crisis with grace, creativity, and hope.

2017

National Teen Outreach Award

In March of 2017, Intrepid Keystone Club received a National Award for Teen Outreach from Boys & Girls Clubs of America's National Keystone Program. The award was presented at BGCA's National Keystone Conference in Chicago, IL.

2016

League of E.A.G.L.E.S. Award

In October of 2016 our Board of Directors was recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America for outstanding service & dedication. Our Board was one of only two in the region to receive the Gold Level of this prestigious award, which was presented at BGCA's Regional Leadership Conference in Manchester, NH.

2015

National Keystone Club of the Year

In April of 2015, the Intrepid Keystone Club was named National Keystone Club of the Year at Boys & Girls Clubs of America's National Keystone Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Yankee Chapter Program Awards

In June of 2015, the Club received three awards for program excellence from The Professional Association - Yankee Chapter. Programs recognized were Squish It (The Arts), Gemstones (Character & Leadership Development), and More Members, More Often (Participation & Attendance).

Honor Award: Health & Life Skills

In May of 2015, Before the Bell was recognized for programmatic excellence by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The award, given to the top health & life skills program from across the movement, was presented at BGCA's National Conference in Chicago, IL.

Yankee Chapter Program Award

In June of 2014, the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club received an award for program excellence from The Professional Association - Yankee Chapter. The program recognized was Birthdays in a Box (Character & Leadership Development), an initiative coordinated by the Intrepid Keystone Club.

2013

Regional Keystone Award

In November of 2013, the Intrepid Keystone Club received the National Project Award at the Northeast Regional Keystone Conference in Ridgefield, CT. The award honored the teens' Hope for the Homeless initiative, for which Birthdays in a Box were a major component.

Regional Keystone Award

In December of 2012, the Intrepid Keystone Club received the National Project Award at the Northeast Regional Keystone Conference in Boston, MA. The award honored the teens' After the Cameras Leave initiative, for which a service trip to Joplin, MO was a major component.

2011

Community Partner of the Year

In April of 2011, Bentley University selected our Boys & Girls Club as the Community Partner of the Year. Our Club is fortunate to host service learning students from Bentley each year. They are a tremendous asset to our PowerHour program.

2009

Merit Award: Health & Life Skills

In May of 2009, Club Chefs was recognized for programmatic excellence by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The award, given to the top three healthy & life skills programs from across the movement, was presented at BGCA's National Conference in Atlanta, GA.

2008

Honor Award: Sports, Fitness & Recreation

In May of 2008, Striking Circle Girls Field Hockey was recognized for programmatic excellence by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The award, given to the top sports, fitness & recreation program from across the movement, was presented at BGCA's National Conference in San Francisco, CA.

2007
