The James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn is excited to announce the registration information for the 2019-2020 drop-in program! The drop-in program will begin on Monday, September 16, 2019. Members must have an active membership to begin the program.

New members, accompanied by a guardian, must attend an orientation before enrolling and attending the program.  Registration for returning members will only occur during renewal times.  There is no walk-in registration.  Memberships must be renewed and payment must be submitted before members can attend the Clubhouse.  All prior memberships expired on August 31, 2019.  Initial orientations & renewal times are listed below:

James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn will offer swimming lessons to youth and teens this summer.

Registration takes place June 26, 2019 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Classes fill on a first come, first served basis. Registrations must be done in person at the Clubhouse.

Save the date for our 2nd Annual Moo Fest on Saturday, September 21, 2019! Join us at the Club from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for this community event. This family friendly day will include music, food, beer & wine as well as games and activities for all ages! Entry and activities are free for all with food and drinks to purchase.

Don’t forget the main event: Cow Pie Bingo! Support the Club by purchasing a land parcel and taking a chance that our cow will pick you! We only sell 500 parcels for $50 a parcel and if the cow pie lands on your parcel you will win $5000! Other prizes including cash and gift cards will be awarded throughout the day.

Clubhouse Closed – Monday, May 27, 2019 in observance of Memorial Day.

No Teen Hours – Friday, May 31, 2019 due to the Spring Fling. Normal programming will occur after school until 7:00 p.m. All members not participating or volunteering at the Spring Fling dance must leave at 7:00 p.m.

Clubhouse Closed – Monday, June 10, 2019 for a staff retreat.

Please note that the last day of the drop-in program will be Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Keep an eye out here for upcoming celebrations and special events to close our our 2018-2019 program year.

Fiesta Shows will be visiting Woburn with the annual carnival Thursday, May 16, 2019 through Sunday, May 19, 2019.

The carnival takes place in the parking lot at Showcase Cinemas in Woburn and features rides, games and food. Admission is $2.

James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn benefits from a portion of both the admission and ride ticket sales.

WRISTBAND SPECIALS. Unlimited rides for $30 per person, or $25 per person with coupon. Wristbands are sold Thursday, 5:00 p.m through closing time. They are also sold Sunday, 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m. OR 5:00 p.m. until closing time. Coupons are available at the Club.

These programs will continue through the end of our drop-in program. The final day for drop-in programming will be Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

Please note that programs are subject to change, we appreciate your understanding. Each day other activities and opportunities will also be available and we encourage members to be at the Club to get involved in all the fun!

The James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club Main Clubhouse will be open for drop-in Tuesday, April 16, 2019 to Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that the Club will be closed both Monday, April 15, 2019 and Friday, April 19, 2019.

We look forward to a fun few days of programming and activities with our members! Members are invited to swim each day with our elementary members swimming at 1:00 p.m. and our middle school and high school members swimming at 2:00 p.m. The Cafe will be open every day from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be offering a pizza lunch (1 slice of pizza, two snacks & a drink) for $4.

There will be one last session of swimming lessons offered for the 2018-2019 school year.

Registration will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the classes fill on a first come, first served basis.

On April 24th, you must register in person.

Lucky’s Lobsters traveled to St. Petersburg, Florida April 5th through April 7th, 2019 to participate in Boys & Girls Club National Championships! Together, with area Boys & Girls Clubs they formed Team New England and took 3rd place!

We are so proud of our swimmers and all that they accomplished as both individuals and a team during the 2018-2019 season.
