Dave
David joined the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club team in October 2015 as the Health & Recreation Director. He is a graduate from Colby-Sawyer College with a B.S. in Sport Management and a minor in Business. Dave has always enjoyed working with youth and passionate about helping others. Dave works to provide a variety of opportunities for Club members of all ages to engage in healthy choices and develop skills to lead an active life. Dave enjoys working with the wide range of youth and teens at the Club. Dave considers the best part of the Club to being able to watch members grow into responsible young adults with the support of the Club!
Alison
Alison began her career at the Club in 2005 as the Lil’ Kids Club Coordinator. At that time, she also began working at the After the Bell program at the Shamrock elementary School. In 2009, After the Bell became a 21st Century Community Learning Center through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. At that time, Alison took on the role of managing the program. She has also recently overseen the expansion of Club services within the Woburn Public Schools to include After the Bell at the Joyce Middle School and Before the Bell at the Shamrock Elementary School. Alison’s responsibilities include overseeing the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant funding, and managing the day to day operations of both After the Bell programs, the Before the Bell program and the Lil’ Kids Club program. In 2014 Alison became the proud recipient of the Professional of the Year Award, presented by The Professional Association – Yankee Chapter.
Myla
Myla is thrilled to be working at L.E.A.P. Childcare! She has previously worked in various roles at The Performing Arts Connection in Sudbury, and as the Development Associate at The Food Project (a non-profit fighting for food justice by providing youth development opportunities for teens in the Boston area). Outside of work, you can find Myla acting in local, community theater productions!
Danny
Danny is the School Age Childcare Director at the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn. He joined the Club in May 2025, bringing over 15 years of experience working with children ages 2 to 16. Danny has a strong background in youth development, having worked in a variety of educational and recreational settings. In addition to his work in childcare, he has spent many years coaching both basketball and baseball, helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
Danny is passionate about promoting physical health and creating opportunities for kids to build confidence and come out of their shells. He enjoys building strong relationships with families and watching members thrive through active play, social connection, and new experiences. Danny recently earned his master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching, and he uses that knowledge to help shape enriching, engaging programming for Club members.
Outside of the Club, Danny enjoys coaching sports—and most of all, being a proud dad to his two beautiful daughters.
Savana
Ashley
Ashley first joined the James L. Mckeown Boys & Girls Club as an intern for our TEAM Summer program in 2022. The following school year she became a Group Leader for Project Learn at the Hurld Wyman Elementary School and later, in 2024, took on the role of Site Coordinator for the program. Throughout her time with the Club, Ashley has worn many hats, including Camp Counselor and Summer Curriculum Coordinator for the TEAM Summer program, as well as Assistant Pre-K Teacher for the LEAP Childcare program. In 2025, Ashley joined the Clubhouse staff as the Education Director. Ashley is incredibly excited to step into her new role as Education Director, where she looks forward to inspiring youth to embrace learning, creativity and personal growth.
Sean
Sean first became involved at the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn in 2019. At this time, he became a group leader for Project Learn at the Hurld Wyman Elementary School, while also earning his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts & Science at Middlesex College. He was a part of our Supervised Learning Center during the 2020-2021 school year before he then became a counselor for our TEAM Summer program. In 2022, Sean joined the Clubhouse staff as the Education Director. Sean works with youth to further their education and learn new and important skills through art and STEM activities.
Kayla
Kayla Zayas joined the Club in June 2025, after 10 years of teaching infants through pre-k. She has her degree in Art Therapy and Human Services, finding her passion in working with children during college – and she’s been doing it ever since! She loves to help acclimate both children and families to their first early childhood experiences, and finds every day new and exciting when getting to experience it through the eyes of a child. Kayla has two daughters of her own and loves to spend time with her family in her free time. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and creating art!
