Aquatics Department

The James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn operates a 6 lane, heated, chlorinated swimming pool at its Main Clubhouse location. Below are details regarding some of the opportunities that our pool offers.

Swim Lessons

At this time, there are no swim lessons due to limited pool availability because of high school teams who practice in Lucky’s Pool.

Thank you for understanding.

Area organizations and businesses that offer swimming lessons include North Suburban YMCA, Little Flippers Swim School, Goldfish Swim School, and British Swim School.

Are you unsure about which level your child should swim with?  Please check this simple questionnaire to help guide you, or discuss your child’s abilities with our Aquatics Director at the time of registration. A swim lesson schedule and registration dates will be available soon. Thanks again for understanding!

Lucky’s Lobsters Swim Team

Our swim team program offers a great way for youth & teens who love the water and have basic understanding of the strokes to enhance their skills and participate in competitions. They hold practice five days a week and compete with other Club teams in the area. For more information, see Lucky’s Lobsters Swim Team Page or contact Head Coach, Anthony Fiore. For competitive swimmers interested in year-round swimming, we also participate in USS Swim meets throughout New England.

Member Free Swim

Club members are welcome to come splash around during free swimming time. All active members are welcome. This is a members-only opportunity. Parents, caregivers and other family members are not allowed.

Currently “free swim” is restricted to our TEAM Summer campers, who have an opportunity to swim five days per week as part of our summer program! Thanks for understanding.

Adult Lap Swim

Due to existing pool rentals, there is no adult lap swim offered at this time.  Thank you for understanding.
