Lucky’s Lobsters Swim Team
Lucky’s Lobsters is a competitive & recreational swim program for swimmers ages 6-18. The regular season takes place through February. The team competes in the NENEAPC swim league against area Boys & Girls Clubs from November through January. An option also exists each year for families to travel to Florida for the Boys & Girls Club Swimming Championships.
Lucky’s Lobsters is a program of the James L. McKeown’s Boys & Girls Club of Woburn’s Main Clubhouse. All swimmers are required to have an active membership at the Clubhouse. All memberships must be renewed annually in September.

Please always refer to the swim team calendar! There are many days that the Club hosts high school swim meets and other events, and you might not have practice. Calendars are available where the kids check in for practice; encourage them to take one home and hang it on their refrigerator!

New Swimmers
THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for new swimmer evaluations!
We appreciate your patience as we try to place everyone in the appropriate practice group while sorting more children than ever before. Please note that we are also balancing the groups with all our returning swimmers, who were just evaluated last week. Thank you again for your understanding!
NEW SWIMMERS WILL JOIN THEIR PRACTICE GROUP STARTING ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2025.
2025 New Swimmer Practice Group Assignments – New swimmers who were evaluated during the week of 9/15.
Those swimmers who indicate they would benefit from a reevaluation are welcome to email Coach Anthony at coachanthony@verizon.net to set up a time for reevaluation, if desired by the family.
After swimmers have their group placements, they must register for the Main Clubhouse AND Lucky’s Lobsters Swim Team in the MyClubHub Parent Portal:
For swimmers 6 and 7 years old: Register for Lucky’s Lobsters Swim Team (ages 6 & 7) – MCH Instructions
For swimmers 8-18 years old: Register for Lucky’s Lobsters Swim Team (youth ages 8-18) – MCH Instructions
Reminder: all swimmers MUST attend orientation before attending any swim practices.
Returning Swimmers
Before joining practice, all returning swimmers must be registered for the 2025–2026 Clubhouse Program, attend a returning member orientation, and pay the Clubhouse membership fee. Only swimmers with their orange Club cards will be admitted into practice!
Returning swimmers should continue attending their regular practice group. If a swimmer should move to a new group, a coach will speak with you. Remember that your practice group does not define your ability, but rather sets a structure for swimmers with similar skills to be in the pool at the same time.
