Main Clubhouse

The Main Clubhouse is open to youth & teens 8-18 years old from any community. The Club offers a wide variety of programs and opportunities to support youth in three main program areas: academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character & leadership. 

2021-2022 Clubhouse Membership

The James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn will be offering afterschool and enrichment programming during the 2021-2022 school year. Membership is open to youth & teens 8-18 years old and requires an updated membership form and $25 membership fee.

Membership forms & link to pay membership fees will be emailed after confirmation of registration for an afterschool session or enrichment program. Membership forms & fees are collected once per school year.

The Club will continue to implement COVID safety procedures including limited capacities, indoor masking, and contact tracing, aided through program registration. These protocols will help to ensure the Club remains a safe place for our youth & teens during the ongoing health crisis.

Afterschool 2021-2022

Afterschool will be open Mondays – Fridays from Woburn Public Schools dismissal until 6:00 p.m. for youth & teens ages 8-18. Afterschool will have limited capacity and members must sign up by the day of the week. This limited capacity and set daily roster will help ensure the Club remains a safe place for our members amongst the ongoing health crisis. Masks are required for all who enter the Club.

Each afternoon members will participate in Power Hour, the Club’s designated time for homework help & academic support, receive a snack, and participate in a two activities of their choice. Members are encouraged to attend all registered days in their session and repeated failure to attend will affect your child’s continued ability to attend the program and to sign up for future sessions.

Evening Teen Opportunities

The Club will be open 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for teen hours Mondays-Thursdays. For the 2021-2022 school year, a teen is considered any member in grades 7th-12th. Teen members will need to complete a 2021-2022 Club membership application and pay the $25 membership. Teen hours will be drop-in and members can attend Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. Teen evening opportunities will begin on Monday, September 27th and must have completed registration to start.

Join us for Teen Open Houses!
We invite all 7th-12th graders to two open teen nights to learn more about the Club, these opportunities and get membership information. Teens are welcome to attend both nights and are encouraged to invite a friend.

Space is limited in these opportunities. Programs are designed based on weekly attendance and we ask participants to attend all scheduled meetings. Drop-in programs are subject to change due to teen membership numbers and attendance.

Tanners Torch Club

Torch Club is the Boys & Girls Club’s service-learning program for members in grades 6, 7, and 8. Torch Club members develop good character and leadership skills such as planning and decision-making while working together to implement projects that serve their community. For the 2021-2022 school year, we will meet on Wednesdays from 8:00 p.m. – 9:00p.m. at the Club.

New and returning members interested in joining, must attend the mandatory informational meeting on Wednesday, September 22, at 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., where you will learn more about the specifics of Tanners Torch Club and receive an application. Completed applications will be due on the following Wednesday, September 29, by 8:00 p.m. (there will be NO meeting on the 29th). You will hear back about your application by Friday, October 1st. If you are invited to join Torch Club, our first meeting will be on Wednesday, October 6.

Intrepid Keystone Club

The Intrepid Keystone Club is the Club’s high school service learning group. Members gain valuable skills while engaging in community service and leadership development, focusing on academic success and career preparation.

Current freshmen, sophomores & juniors interested in joining Keystone must apply via the application linked below. All applications are due to the Club September 29, 2021 no later than 7:00 p.m. Please drop them off at the front desk or in the Club’s secure mailbox at the front door.
